Indigienous cultures have a belief that everything you do should benefit the next seven generations. This idea has always made a lot of sense to us and at Ethical Pharmacy we aim to generate only good health and sustainable living for future generations.


All the products we stock and support are made from natural ingredients, free from the toxins that can be found in many pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. Most of our products are made in New Zealand and Australia, and reflect the clean green image for which our countries have become known. We have 12 years background in online selling, (mostly helping users quit smoking) and have had time to put in place world class security, distribution and customer service systems.


At Ethical Pharmacy we sell only those products that would stand this test of time. Needless to say we have gathered the best sustainably produced, organic and earth friendly products we could find and brought them together on a site where you will get value for money, great customer service and most importantly, the knowledge that your purchase will not damage our planet in a chemical way.

The words Ethical and Pharmacy have not often been seen together in the same sentence and we aim to change the perceptions of what Pharmacy means. At our site Pharmacy will not be linked to large pharmaceutical companies and their pursuit of the dollar at any cost, instead we will offer ethical healing products that will help you feel and look better, and at the same time help the planet.


We source our products only from companies that do not test on animals, have built sustainability into their business model, and which have a commitment to the healing and wellbeing of not just ourselves but the planet as well.


We live in one of the most beautiful spots in New Zealand, Karitane beach on the southeast coast. When we’re not filling orders we are out in nature, walking, surfing and biking in the great outdoors with our two
adorable boys. We have a team of six, and have been working in the e-commerce space for 12 years.


We want this website to be a place for discussion on issues that affect you. Catherine Mahoney our fabulous onsite Naturopath can answer any of your health related questions and advise you on products that may help in your healing.

Our Courtesy system:


Right from the company’s inception, we have looked to develop a system of courtesy – (a set of rules we follow as a team) to ensure our core values of integrity and respect are maintained at all times, with all our contacts, starting with our customers.


At Ethical Pharmacy, we have six rules of courtesy that we follow:


  • Speak politely using a person's name, 'please' and 'thank you' as a minimum.
  • Immediately apologize and make restitution if you are in the wrong or if someone is upset by your actions.
  • Greet and farewell everyone by name.
  • Blame a system not a person.
  • Always tell the truth.
  • Use positive conversation.
